Danish designer Malene Birger, who MTV Europe calls the "Queen of Fashion in Copenhagen" is most certainly fashion royalty.  She received her fashion design degree from the prestigious The Royal Academy of Fine Arts - The School of Design, then worked as a designer for Jackpot by Carli Gry, and as head designer for woman's wear at Marc O'Polo Stockholm before deciding to branch out on her own.  In 1997 she starting her first company, Day Birger at Mikkelsen.  Then in 2003, she founded By Malene Birger, a brand that has since become know throughout the globe for bringing an artistic angle to contemporary classics.  In 2014 Malene turned the design keys over to her design manager Christine Exsteen, who has been with her since the fashion house was founded.
