I have lived in LA for 25 years, and I am originally from Mexico. At BURU, I do the pressing. I have been a presser for 23 years. I love this trade because the garment looks very nice after it is pressed. When I am not working, I love to cook.

I have lived in L.A. for 25 years, and I am originally from Mexico. At BURU, I cut all the production. I love doing this job. I get very focused, and it makes time go fast. I also love to dance, go out to eat and spend time with my family.

Maker of the Cape Dress

I’m from Mexico, and I have lived in L.A. for 23 years. My specialty is the cape dress, but I can make many more styles. I learned this trade in Mexico at an event called the Sewing Fair. I like working for BURU because every day is something new. When I’m not working, I like riding my bike, playing soccer and going for walks.

I am originally from Mexico, and I have lived in L.A. for 35 years. I have worked in this trade for 30 years. At BURU, I do all types of sewing. I love working for BURU because we are treated so well. When I’m not working, I love going to church, shopping and trying new foods.

I like working for BURU because Morgan and Brett treat us like family. Each day I learn new things. I love watching Korean dramas and attend personal growth meetings for fun.

My hobbies include working out, creating and exploring new music, and attending local shows and concerts. My role at BURU is making certain our inventory is 100 percent accurate, as well as organizing and stocking merchandise.

I’m from Mexico, and I have lived in L.A. for 26 years. Here at BURU I make many silhouettes, but my focus is the Swing Coat. I learned my profession in school, and I have worked in the industry for 25 years. I learn new things every day at BURU. When I am not working I love to play the guitar, piano and sing karaoke.

I have lived in L.A. for 29 years, and I am originally from Mexico. At BURU I do trim and buttons by hand. I also do packaging. My family taught me this trade, and I have been doing it for 10 years. I like the atmosphere at BURU and that Morgan and Brett treat us like family. I love visiting my daughters when I am not working.

I’m currently the warehouse manager at BURU. I like to multi-task, and this job keeps me on my feet all day; I love it.

First, I started laying the fabric and then I learned how to cut. I have worked in this job for 10 years. I enjoy it because it keeps me focused all the time. I also love car mechanics.

I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I love to read and go on late night drives while I sing to the songs blasting in my car. At BURU I do a bit of everything, but primarily, I pull orders and process returns.

I have lived in L.A. for 10 years, and I am from Guatemala. I love to play soccer and spend time with my family. At BURU I work with samples and production. I know how to work every sewing machine, button machine and the button hole machine. My specialty is the Teagan skirt. I like working for BURU because we create new styles every day.

At BURU I make samples from start to finish. My grandmother and my mother taught me to sew. I love my trade because it has allowed me to provide for my family for my entire life. Originally, I am from Mexico, but I have lived in Los Angeles for 30 years. I love gardening and caring for my plants.

I’m from Guatemala and have lived in L.A. for 25 years. My specialty is the Hostess sets, single needle and overlock stitch. I learned this trade in Guatemala to provide for my family. I like working for BURU because of the warm atmosphere. When I’m not working I like to rest, go out to eat and try new gastronomy.

Originally from Mexico, I have lived in L.A. for 29 years. I love to play the guitar, electric bass, and bajo quinto. I also love taking my son to play soccer. At BURU I figure out how to bring Morgan’s designs and ideas to life. When I first came to L.A. I started sewing and learned the basics. In 2001, I became a sample maker, and in 2006, an assistant pattern maker. In 2018, I began manual grading, and recently digital. BURU is a great place to work because Morgan and Brett trust me and give me their confidence. They also provide everything needed for a nice place to work.

I’m from Baja California and have lived in L.A. for 9 years. My specialty is the mod tops, and I can run almost every single sewing machine. I learned this trade when I was 17 years old. I enjoy making BURU’s elegant garments and our supervisor, Antonio, is very patient when he is teaching us something new.

I’m from Guatemala, and I have lived in L.A. for 34 years. My specialty is trousers as well as many more operations. I learned my profession in school when I was 16 while living in Guatemala. I like working for BURU because the atmosphere is nice and I love Morgan’s designs. When I am not working I like to spend time with my kids and visit new places.

I’m from Mexico, and I have lived in L.A. for 35 years. I love this profession because for me it is ART. I have worked in this industry for 34 years. I love working for BURU because the garments are elegant and beautiful. When I’m not working I love to read, especially The Da Vinci Code.

I’m originally from Mexico, but I have lived in L.A. for 28 years. I love cooking for my family and spending time with my 3 daughters and my son. My role at BURU is assisting the production team, making sure production runs in a timely manner and is shipped out on time. I oversee operations to keep the flow of production running smoothly in order to prevent delays. I have been working for BURU for about a year, and I love this job because it requires multitasking and keeps me busy all day.

I’m from Guatemala and have lived in L.A. for 24 years. Here at BURU I do many operations but the main ones are Housecoats and Bow Blouses. This was my dad’s profession, and he taught me when I was 9 years old. When I’m not at BURU, I like to cook and spend time with my kids.

I am from Mexico, and I have lived in L.A. for 31 years. At BURU, I make samples, blazers, Anniversary Dresses, tops, pants and much more. I have worked in this industry for 31 years. I like this trade because it is very creative. For enjoyment, I love watching sports, especially soccer, and going for long walks.
