There is nothing quite like an intimate group of women coming together—to connect, to share, and to inspire. It’s amazing what happens when you put us in the same space (perhaps with a glass of wine in hand) with a bit of time to dream.
Our BURU x UPPAbaby dinner series, sprinkled across 6 cities, was nothing short of pure magic. We are so grateful to our hostesses and of course, none of these dreamy evenings would have been possible without our amazing partner, UPPAbaby.
Each hostess brought a unique sparkle and magic to her dinner, and what better way to celebrate that than sharing it with all of you? Let's meet our hostesses!
Meet Bryce Vann Brock and Kelly Revels: Bryce Vann Brock and Kelly Revels created The Vine in 2008—an exciting new chapter in a wonderful story that was already being written by their work together at The Sea Island Resort. Bryce served as the resort’s Landscape Director for several years while Kelly specialized there in landscape container design. Together they designed and created spectacular events both small and large at the resort while dreaming of one day combining their talents and energy to form their own business. Today, that talent energy and vision is embodied in The Vine.
BURU: What was your favorite moment from the dinner?
BB & KR: Our entire meal was created using local, St. Simons ingredients—from fresh Georgia peaches to the fish caught by my husband earlier that morning, it was incredibly special to bring such an authentic flare to an evening of authentic conversation.
B: Do you have a favorite UPPAbaby product?
BB & KR: We absolutely love the MINU. To have a stroller that travels as well as it works in everyday life, with all the needed features, is a true feat. Well done, UPPAbaby!
B: What did you love most about being a hostess for our dinner series?
BB & KR: Our theme for the evening was ROYGBIV Farm to Table. Beyond setting the table with a rainbow of fresh flowers and using color as the main decor, among our outdoor setting, we loved seeing the guests show up in all of BURU's colorful frocks!
B: What's your go-to hostess trick?
BB & KR: Sometimes unexpected (affordable, yet occasionally time consuming) decor can be every bit as WOW as big over the top displays. For this dinner, we tied simple crate paper streamers, in ROYGBIV colors, onto a tree branch as the backdrop for our tablescape. It created a bold look for a minimal expense.
B: And finally, what are your top 5 BURU picks right now?
BB & KR: Right now we are loving the Teagan Skirt in both black and red, The Tuxedo Blouse in mint, the Tinsel Skirt in rainbow (of course!) and the Peter Pan Tee in black and white stripe.
