It's that time of year when the world relies on mothers to make every moment pure magic. The Holidays are officially here!

In the last few years, it seems that our beloved Turkey Day has become less of it's own celebration and more of a kick-off to a massive holiday extravaganza culminating with NYE.
Everyone is entitled to her own opinion on when the "holidays" should actually commence, but here at BURU, we welcome any season that promotes extra sparkle!
Whether you're celebrating a "Friendsgiving" meal or a more traditional Thanksgiving spread with family, we believe it's the perfect opportunity to pick up something special for yourself that can be worn countless ways—to a variety of events, during the holidays and beyond!
Our Black and White Stripe Swing Coat paired over Cropped Flare Tuxedo Trousers and an Ivory Swing Top (matching the tux stripe) is a perfect look for Turkey Day, but the versatility of each piece will give your closet new life the entire holiday season.

When your last monthly book club of the year rolls around, and it's time to discuss literature (or more likely, "When Life Gives You Lululemon")  with your favorite gal pals, you will mostly likely want to step up your mom style with something more festive than actual Lululemon.
May we suggest our shimmering Pink Brocade Circle Skirt, and chunky, cropped knit sweater and some glitter boots?
We answered for you. Yes, we may. :)

Teachers come calling this time of year, and who could blame them. With end of the year projects, school plays, class parties and countless activities—they need all the extra hands they can get!
Dressing to volunteer in the classroom can be challenging. Perhaps you are coming from or going straight to work afterwards and need to look polished, while also being able to get on your hands and knees during "rug time". Maybe you need clothes that can handle the demands of art projects and messy crafts? No worries, mama. We've got you covered.
Our Gold tweed Swing Jacket is lightweight, comfy and completes any look.  Throw it on with black jeans and a white t-shirt or white button down if you need something more office appropriate post classroom visit. Get extra "cool" points from your kiddo by topping off the look with festive red sneakers!

Company Christmas or Holiday Parties are often a conundrum.  You want something new to wear—something fun, but you also feel a sense to keep it conservative. (Unless of course you work for BURU, and then it's anything goes!)
While a cocktail dress might be top of mind, we suggest separates. It allows for more mixing + matching, and if at the last minute you learn the vibe is more casual, you can swap your Lamè Striped Swing Top for a cozy black sweater.

Although we tell ourselves every year that this is the "last time" we are doing this...the call of the tree lighting ceremony is just too strong. So—we pack up the crew (rain, snow or shine) and tackle the crowds for that glorious moment when all the lights come on!
We think jeans are the way to go here. Black jeans that is. And we love the idea of a shimmering bow blouse (and matching swing coat if your climate permits). If it's too cold for a light jacket, then a black furry coat with the bow peeking out at the top would be really cute too!
