5 outfits / 3 days - The Hamptons Edition

5 outfits / 3 days - The Hamptons Edition

Body surfing waves from the Atlantic, soft sand and wide beaches make The Hamptons a great spot for families. I love the low key, un-commercialized attitude of the beaches—especially the ones in Montauk (where we always choose to stay). The dunes are not polluted with burger joints and there are no high-rise condos interrupting the landscape—it's ocean as far as the eyes can see.

Here's the thing though—while it may feel like you are at the edge of the earth, surrounded by sun, sand and farmland (believe it or not) The Hamptons don't mess around when it comes to style. I always like to be prepared for where ever the day takes us, so I pack beach-ware that feels playful and put together. I prefer one-piece suits for coverage while chasing tots, and I like a cover-up that can take me from beach to bbq. With our oversized, pink pinstripe button down, I can easily add a pair of white jeans to complete the look.

On "stay in nights", around the fire pit making s'mores, I like to feel cozy and comfy. I also prefer to wear a dark color in case I get hit with the char of a marshmallow.  The Mama Lounge Set in black checks all the boxes!

Lunch al fresco is the only way to go in the Hamptons. A WASHABLE ensemble, in a bold hue that makes you feel bright and shiny, is ideal when feeding your kiddos in public. Plus...who doesn't love an elastic waste when you're eating!

For date night, I love a flowy dress that feels beautiful and easy to wear. This breezy, polka dot frock looks just as great with metallic wedges as it does with cool sneakers.

A little piece of advice—plan your date night(s) early.  There may be a laid back vibe at the beach, but in July and August, snagging a great dinner reservations is NO joke!

The first time I visited Wolffer Wine, I thought I had stepped into a dream.  Live music fills the air while children, dressed in white linen, frolic through the vines and families picnic on blankets with delicious charcuterie spreads.

It's truly magical, and it deserves an outfit its equal. I prefer pants or a long skirt at the vineyard (or anytime I sit in the grass). But even if I'm wearing a classic staple like white jeans, I try to add a little "magic" to the look with big glittery sunnies and a chic turban to hide beach or pool hair.
