Fashion Week Highlights: Hunter Bell, Nikki Chasin and Michelle Kim
We had such a wonderful time at the Brand Assembly presentation in the super cool You Tube space at Chelsea Market. I loved getting to catch up with Hunter Bell and see her amazing designs for the HB fall 2015 collection.
Let's talk about this center look. The flame stitch jacket with removable fur collar is killer. If only it were available now to beat these freezing cold temps! While we absolutely love it paired with the printed a-line skirt - it will be just as fantastic over black skinny jeans and a basic t-shirt.
Nikki Chassin, another emerging designer in Brand Assembly's line-up, presented a collection of unique separates in hues of navy, rust and ivory. Our favorite piece: the knee length winter white vest. What a cool throw-on to jazz up your basics and get you out of "mom rut"!
I suppose it's the mom in me - but Michelle Kim won me over with her puppy dog print. All I could think was..."can we please get those in minis too!"
If you are not already familiar with Brand Assembly and the wonderful work they are doing for emerging designers - be sure to check them out. I love what they are doing to help young talent succeed in fashion.
