Taylor Tomasi Hill, a soon-to-be mama with the cutest bump ever, is well known for her amazing street style and most recently for her unexpected, yet fabulous career change from creative director at Moda Operandi to the must-have florist of NYC.

From the beginning, Taylor's career has centered around design and fashion.  After receiving her degree in Industrial Design at the Pratt Institute, she began her career as an accessories editor at Teen Vogue. Taylor has cultivated an impressive resume, working with well known publications and mass media companies, such as Marie Claire and Conde Nast, to name a few.

After her departure from Moda Operandi, Taylor worked as a private fashion consultant.  To personalize her thank you's to her clients, she created and sent beautiful flower arrangements. Local buzz immediately bloomed and everyone wanted the details of which florist was making the amazing mini bouquets.  And so - a fashion icon turned florist was born!

We feel so lucky to have had custom "BURU blooms" created by Taylor for our BURU Brunch last September during New York Fashion Week. (pictured below)

While Taylor clearly has an eye for blooms, it's her personal style that keeps us swooning.  Her signature look is classic with a twist. She is effortlessly chic to the point of intimidating with a seemingly unattainable style aesthetic.  The "How would I pull that off?" question comes to mind.  BURU is here to make the unattainable, attainable by recreating three of Taylor's looks with styles from BURU.   Continue reading below and find out how you can achieve your very own Taylor Tomasi Hill inspired look.

To achieve Taylor's effortlessly chic baby moon style, we suggest the Bella Dahl split back button down in blue chambray pinstripe. This top, a must-have in every woman's closet, is wearable all year round and seamlessly transitions through each season. Pair the chambray top with the Ace & Jig black and ivory reversible wrap skirt, a great 2 looks in 1 addition to your wardrobe. Not only are a chambray shirt and wrap skirt perfect pieces for the beginning stages of your pregnancy, you can continue to wear these looks throughout all of your motherhood adventures. With a simple change from sandals to heels you're instantly ready for PTA meetings or a night out.
Many of Taylor's looks include center around floral prints.  How appropriate to recreate a Taylor Tomasi Hill look with a gorgeous printed skirt full of blooms?. This Rachel Comey rakish floral print skirt is knee length with a stunning gold, elastic waist band. Complete the look by layering the Jordan Louis 3 way trench coat  over the Rachel Comey poise top in black. This look easily transitions from day to night with a simple change of shoes. Plus, just by adding the Jordan Louis 3-way coat you'll be able to have a traditional trench, a chic vest, and the perfect layering bolero to change up the look and keep it fresh.

To amplify your look and recreate Taylor's mixed prints, we suggest pairing the 10 Crosby Derek Lam grey stripe cropped sweatshirt with the 10 Crosby Derek Lam flag print track pant. The cropped sweatshirt is a signature Derek Lam 2 in 1 style and comes with a detachable sleeveless white poplin blouse. You can create multiple looks for the price of one! Create a killer sporty chic look by styling it with black heels, or go more casual with your favorite flats or kicks for an afternoon running errands and carpooling the little ones to their after school activities.
