Milly was first created in 2001 by the very accomplished American designer, Michelle Smith. Before becoming the first American to intern at Hermes' Paris headquarters, she attended the New York Fashion Institute of Technology. Michelle continued her education while in Paris at ESMOD and has worked for Louis Vuitton, Torrente, and Christian Dior Haute Couture. 

Milly is now known for bold, advanced contemporary fashion, while still keeping that feminine edge that was there at the beginning. BURU will focus on featuring signature Milly pieces that are "new mom friendly" as well as her children's line, Mini Milly, which is inspired by her daughter Sophia.  Milly has become the favorite of power moms Beyonce and Kate Middleton.
