When the color of the leaves start changing from green to yellows, oranges and reds we know that fall is just around the corner.  Time to make a family trip to the pumpkin patch, dust off our knee high boots that have been tucked away all summer, and add  a little pumpkin spice flavor to our lattes!  Being a native Kentucky girl though, the first signs of fall also remind me of another popular Kentucky fall activity.  Hunting season.  While I am not married to a "hunter", nor do I refer to myself as a "huntress" - I have no problem partaking in a signature cocktail to honor of the sport. 

With the chillier months ahead, a smooth Kentucky bourbon based drink to warm you up from the inside out is the perfect sipper.  Imagine, after a cold autumn day of  trekking through the woods (or through the retail stores if you are more of a "bargain hunter" than on the prowl for bucks and does) only to return to home to his and hers hunter and huntress cocktails. What a lovely evening that would be!
