Make sweet fruit kabobs with marshmallows in patriotic colors with your family! You'll need strawberries, cherries, red grapes, blueberries, skewers and StarMallows from Jet Puffed (because they come in the shape of stars in pink, blue and white).

How to Make:

See original instructions HERE.

  1. Clean fruit and place each fruit in a separate bowl.
  2. In any pattern you want, have you and your family put fruit and marshmallows on the skewers.
  3. Eat and enjoy! (Or place in the fridge to save for later!)

Make fun cupcake kabobs in red, white and blue! You'll need cupcake mix, a mini muffin pan, red and blue food coloring, white icing, red and blue sprinkles, white marshmallow, strawberries and skewers.

How to Make:

View the source HERE.

  1. Bake mini muffins using a lemon or vanilla mix according to the recipe you have. (Just leave one batch plain, add in red food coloring in one batch and blue food coloring in another batch.)
  2. While they cool, wash and cut the strawberries.
  3. Then put the different colored sprinkles in a bowl, fill a small bowl with water and fill another bowl with marshmallows.
  4. While the muffins are still cooling, decorate the marshmallows with sprinkles by dipping one side in water bowl then the red sprinkle bowl. Do the same thing with the other side but dip in the bus sprinkles. Set on cookie sheet, tray or paper plate to dry. Repeat for as many marshmallows as you'd like.
  5. Once finished, pop the mini cupcakes out of the pan and spread with icing on the tops.
  6. Then add sprinkles on top of the mini cupcakes.
  7. Now get the decorated cupcakes, sprinkled marshmallows and strawberries and begin putting the treats on the skewer in whatever pattern you'd like.
  8. Then serve and enjoy!

Make watermelon more fun to eat by cutting it in the shape of stars! It's so simple, but so fun! You'll need watermelon, a large knife, a spoon, tooth picks, patterned paper, scissors, glue and, of course, a star shaped cookie cutter.

How to Make:

See original instructions HERE.

  1. Clean and cut the watermelon. (I recommend cutting the watermelon in half and then slicing the halves.
  2. Once the watermelon is all sliced up, take your star shaped cookie cutter and start cutting.
  3. Then, lay out the stars on a tray.
  4. Now cut the patterned paper into small strips.
  5. Put a drop of glue in the middle of the paper strip and place a toothpick on it.
  6. Once dry, fold the piece of paper in half and snip the end for to create a flag look. (Cut out a v-shape.)
  7. Then stick the finished toothpicks into various watermelon stars and voila!
  8. Now enjoy your festive treat!
