Winter Reading Game Boards

Liquid error (snippets/picture line 66): invalid url input

If it's too cold outside for your kids to be running out and about, get their brains active with a reading game board!

Each space on the game board represents a book your child has to read with you (or alone) and he/she can only "move" one space forward after finishing a book! Your child can take a shortcut if he/she reads a more challenging book (as determined by you) OR reads multiple books in a short time period.

Post the game board on your fridge or some place your child will see it every day to help motivate them.

Once he/she reaches the game board finish line, have the reward be a fun outing or activity you two can do together! This includes going out to the movie of your child's choice, going out for ice cream, ice skating together, or whatever activity you two find fun!

Here's a link to a game board from www.accomplishate.com (as pictured above) to print:

We recommend printing the game board out in black and white so your child can color and decorate it!

Have fun and stay warm!
