I'm not really a jeans kind-of-girl. In fact, when I wear them, my friends are typically floored and confused by my "look". It's not that I don't like denim– I love the way others look in them. The truth is… I am soft in the middle. And jeans tend to dig into my squishy parts and make me feel self-conscious. My impression of jeans (albeit often from afar) is that their purpose is to create comfort and provide effortless stye, not create insecurities and self-doubt.
Other moms (well, at least the ones gracing the pages of US Weekly) appear to be rocking every denim trend out there. I, on the other hand, feel like a mom-jean wearing hot mess. Am I truly alone in this? I can't be the only one struggling with the blue jeans blues, right?
As soon as I discovered premium stretch denim leggings by Twenty8Twelve London, I felt confident I had stumbled onto a game-changer– and they certainly have been for me! Yes, technically, they are "jeggings," but calling them by that name is an insult to the effort that Twenty8Twelve London put into creating, in my opinion, what should be called The Modern Mom Jean.
The color and subtle faded wash is spot on with other designer denim. Made with stretch fabric, the denim rebounds so that one size can accommodate a fluctuating post-pregnancy body. The slim cut is so flattering and on trend and the elastic waist is an absolute Godsend! What more can a mommy ask for?
