Our Micro-Factory

BURU founder, Morgan Hutchinson always dreamed of producing a portion of her collections in the USA. After hitting countless road blocks to manufacture domestically in a cost effective and socially responsible way—she and her business partner (who also happens to be her husband) decided to roll up their sleeves and start a factory for themselves...a micro one.

Using this uncommon approach, BURU is able to streamline production, allowing more responsible and ethically driven manufacturing by:

And though we LOVE all the positives this production method provides the environment, we would be remiss not to address the added creativity that owning and operating a micro-factory provides us! From designing "in the moment" capsules that respond to life events or quick shifts in style needs (hello "work from home"...) to collaborating with other incredible women to create personalized collections together—building the BURU micro-factory, one machine at a time, has been and continues to be a dream come true!
