Quick Questions with Rachel Pally
Blending "the easy and elegant" with "the chic and classic," Rachel Pally is a staple for every mom's closet. Pally is not only a well-seasoned designer, having launched her namesake line in 2002, but is also a new mom who is nursing! For new moms, Pally recommends her wrap and caftan dresses as key pieces. Unbuttoned was lucky enough to briefly chat with Pally about her line, her style, and her baby must-haves below.
BR: What pieces from your line do you love the most?
RP: As a nursing mom, I'm grateful for my jersey dresses! They hide my not-so-cute nursing bras and can easily be pulled to the side for baby. I also appreciate the ease and comfort of the fabric– feeling good and looking good is important, especially for new moms!
BR: What are your "go-to" baby products?
RP: We love the Honest Company products– I even use the shampoo and moisturizer myself! I also love Coyuchi swaddle blankets– they are so beautiful and will be wearable as a scarf for mama when Tao is done with them. BR: Are you wearing or forgoing jewelry or accessorizing in other fun ways?
RP: I have not been wearing jewelry lately just [earring] studs and my wedding band, and that's pretty much it! But I always wear a tiny diamond necklace that all of the women in my family wear. I haven't taken it off yet, but it's been in grave danger many times! I have to say, it's been refreshing to not have to worry about accessorizing as much– less is more has become my style. Simplicity can be so chic!
