Irina Bond brings the style of iconic James Bond ladies to life in such a way that every woman can unleash her inner Bond Glam. On her blog Bond Girl Glam, she features style and fashion tips, beauty tricks, home decor ideas and the lifestyle of a Bond Girl. As she prepares to be a first-time mama, we got the scoop on how she maintains Bond Girl Glam while pregnant.

BR: How do you bring Bond Girl Glam into your new every day lifestyle as a soon-to-be mama?

IB: With my ever-changing new shape, I've tried to stay true to how I used to dress before I found out I was going to be a first-time mama. Of course, a few adjustments have been made to accommodate a growing bump, such as relying on stretchier fabrics and accountings a higher waistline. I've looked over my existing wardrobe and found new ways to style my old clothing as well as added some new bump-friendly pieces. Even if I'm not feeling very glam with various quintessential pregnancy symptoms, I still try to put on some lipstick and a statement accessory to give myself that little extra boost to take on the day.

BR: How or why does BURU's Mothers En Vogue's goddess dress fit into your Bond Girl Glam lifestyle?

IB: The dress is simple yet glamorous. It's not trying hard, but it still wows– that's how I think the Bond Girls we've come to know over the decades dress. The tulip draping works with a bump and later on with a babe in your arms, so you're not wearing something "for only 9 months." The discreet nursing feature is going to come in very handy when I try to resume "normal life" outside the house. I want to be able to feed my little one without feeling like I need to go into hiding or skimp on style.

BR: What is your day-to-day style right now? How do you balance fashion and comfort while pregnant?

IB: Since Souther California weather hasn't gotten the memo that it's September and almost officially fall with near 100-degree temperatures, dresses and skirts have been my best friends. Dresses also happen to be one-stop outfits; add some gold jewelry, a nice handbag and flats or wedges, and you're out-the-door ready.

BR: In regard to motherhood, what are you most excited for?

IB: I'm most excited to meet my daughter and hold her in my arms for the first time. I'll be learning how to be a mama for the first time, which is both a bit nerve-racking and exciting at the same time. I can't wait to watch her grow (not too fast, though) and blossom into a little lady.

BR: What are three things every soon-to-be mom needs to know, use or wear to maintain her Bond Girl Glam?

IB: Don't get discourage when you start walking around stores and looking at the maternity wear offered to us expecting ladies. There are great maternity and breastfeeding options out there with curated collections such as BURU. Second, don't forget to shop your own closet; rucking and stretchy fabrics will make your wardrobe go the extra mile and help you keep your existing style. Third, accessories such as belts and killer shoes can bring simple and comfortable clothing from Plain Jane to Bond Girl status. You'll be comfortable while everyone else will probably be impressed at how glamorous and put-together you look while rocking a bump.

Thank you so much, Irina! Check out the goddess dress she wore HERE and her website HERE.
