To celebrate Madeline's 75th birthday, the New York Historical Society is hosting an exhibit dedicated to its creator called The Art of Ludwig Bemelmans. Naturally, we couldn't miss seeing his beautiful artwork and getting our little Olive her first Madeline doll!

The show features the original Madeline manuscript in addition to original sketches and paintings. As a mama who was a HUGE fan of Madeline growing up, it was amazing watching my little girl's face light up as she flipped through the pages of the story just as mine had.
